1. Wat Pho 

The bustling capital of Thailand is not for the faint-hearted. Here you can visit Wat Pho to see the reclining Buddha. This statue is over five meters long and is covered in gold leaf. The temple also has one hundred and eight bowls where you can put coins. The significance is that Lord Buddha completed one hundred and eight positive deeds in attaining a perfect life. If you visit the temple, do not forget to buy coins for the bowls.  

2. Thailand’s grand palace  

If you are questioning the grandeur of this palace, it is indeed a place that you must visit. The beauty of this palace spans two hundred and fourteen square meters. This dazzling structure has impeccable architecture and displays the creativity of the Thai people. Within the palace complex, you can visit Emerald Buddha and notice the architectural differences between the buildings.

Yes, you read that right!. Thailand is also a shopping paradise for all shop-a-holics. All you have to do is visit Siam Paragon, the home of high-end fashion brands in Thailand. This mall is a perfect place for you to spend time with your family as there are bowling alleys and restaurants serving world-class cuisines.  

4. Take a tour of the National Museum 

No vacation is complete without a tour of a country’s history, and what better way than to visit the museum. You can explore the art galleries that display art from Dvaravati and Lopburi periods and precious stones, puppets, and ancient weapons. There are also monuments of ancient gods and traditions, showcasing Thailand’s rich cultural history. Statues of the Hindu god Vishnu, a funeral pyre, and an urn of a princess tell a tale of ancient Thailand, taking you back in time.  

5. Have a glimpse of Chiang Mai 

This is one of the best destinations you can visit, giving you a chance to see a different side of Thailand. You can be guaranteed that Thailand has a nightlife that will keep you on your toes. The capital city has rooftop bars and nightclubs where you can sip on a mimosa or let your hair down and go crazy. Speak to your travel guide or chat with the locals to find a place that would suit you the best. Another exciting part of the nightlife in Thailand is the street food culture. Here you can explore a range of vendors selling mouthwatering food at reasonable prices. Do not forget to try out Pad Thai, Som Tam, sticky rice, and Ka Nom Beuang.

7. Phuket 

Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and is a beautiful place to visit if you love a beachside vibe. You can visit Kata Noi beach, where you can take a dip in the ocean or relax on the beautiful sands while watching the sunset. Another marvelous experience is the Tiger Kingdom. You can get up close and personal with majestic tigers and even pet them. Sounds unbelievable? This should give you more reason to visit the sanctuary. You must also visit Phang Nga Bay which is full of lagoons, mangroves, and caves and is Instagram-worthy. There are also multiple cabaret and entertainment shows along with an exciting nightlife. 

8. Relax in Pattaya

The tropical garden of Nong Nooch is a beautiful picture of green scenery built with inspiration from European renaissance gardens. You can visit Jomtien beach in Pattaya, where you can engage in parasailing, jet skiing, and windsurfing. There are plenty of restaurants serving fresh seafood and other refreshments. The sanctuary of truth is a utopia in Pattaya, where a monument built out of wood stands out. The Thai architecture with intricate wood carvings symbolizes a tribute to philosophy.
